Components of Fitness
1.Cardiovascular Endurance
:
it's the ability of the heart and lungs to work efficiently during physical activity.
Examples
of cardiovascular activity
speed walking, running, swimming, playing soccer.
How can you improve your cardiovascular fitness?
Engage in non-stop activity for at least twenty minutes 2-3 times a week.
2. Flexibility
.
when a person is able to move their joint through the full range of motion.
Examples
that will improve flexibility. Arm stretch, quads (legs) stretch, hamstrings stretch.
3. Muscular endurance:
is the ability of a person to use muscles many times without getting tired.
Examples
of muscle endurance: sit ups, weight lifting, soccer, basketball, running, push mowing the lawn
4. Muscular strength:
when a muscle can produce maximum force to do 1 repetition

Examples
of muscle strength: Performing less than 10 repetitions of bench press exercise, abdominal crunches, one handed pushups.
5. Body Mass:
the percentage of person's weight made up of fat. Must master the previous four components to obtain a low body fat percentage.
